My biggest accomplishment / project was in the spring of 2018, as I created the magazine catalog for Zachary's Jewelers

The challenge of the magazine was to create a magazine that was unique given the theme and release date, and short time constraints, but still aligning with the Zachary's brand.

First thing was to meet with the client and account manager, to understand the main theme of the magazine for the fall/autumn release. Secondly, to receive ads from vendors for placement in certain pages of the magazine. Thirdly, I coordinated with account manager and agency photographer to schedule photoshoots for the magazine cover, jewelry pieces, and main articles in the magazine.

On certain photoshoots, I was there with the client to help the photographer with the creative visions for certain spreads of the magazine. This was imperative for some model shots in particular because they were showcasing special jewelry pieces for the cover and or main articles in the magazine. Although I was helping facilitate the photoshoots, I did have the pleasure to shoot one photoshoot myself. On page 19, I took the pictures of Constance displaying the Zachary's Vintage Vault Collection. I then edited the images and designed the layout.

From there, I was on my own. I had the creative freedom for typefaces, color palettes, and layout design. Given the direction from the client as to which jewelry pieces were to belong on a certain page or spread, it was my creative decisions that lead to the page layouts. Majority of the layout and organization of the project was created in Adobe inDesign. Some of the spreads, I had to use Photoshop to enhance the brightness, contrast and or to process images.

Because I was given the project in the early spring, and the magazine was to be to released in the fall, I did research. I researched on Pantone the up-and-coming popular colors for the fall/autumn season.

Near the end of the project, it was time to print. I was given the third-party printing company's information. I then had to make sure that the inDesign file was set up and exported correctly to be printed.

The end result of this project was very rewarding. I've done other print collateral pieces before, but never on this large of a scale. To finally see the magazine printed and not on the computer screen was awesome. Below is the entire magazine. Flip through page by page to
